Counselling is often about making changes. Those changes can be life altering or life enhancing depending on your needs and goals.
Some clients don't have a burning issue but find the opportunity to talk can be enlightening.
Counselling may be helpful if you are struggling with past or present issues that are hindering you from living your life. If you have a feeling of failure or are feeling isolated, you may find talking to someone trained to listen, honest and non-judgmental will make a difference for you. You can talk about anything and anyone and whatever you say will 'stay in the room'. Family and friends often try to help but their close involvement makes it difficult to really make a difference. You may have issues around friends and family or feel uncomfortable talking with them.
Counselling is an opportunity to develop new and more helpful skills: to explore options and see things from a different perspective.
